https Remarketing

Hello AdWords PPL,

I set my remarketing tag a loong time ago and it works fine. I think because of https my some remarketing lists size are -- (0).

  • can my list size be 0 because of https?
  • if yes, how can I solve it?

Thank you.

Lukas

Hi Lukas

Old remarketing code had separate versions for http and https but if you implement new remarketing code then its

src="//www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion.js"

Which basically means the protocol (http/https) doesnt matter. If you are using old remarketing code I believe you should upgrade to new remarketing code and that should solve your problem.

Hope this helps

Lukas,

I do agree with Ellaiahpusa, i am not able to see Google code for remarketing in your home page's HTML source code.

I have already implemented remarketing for many HTTPS websites and it is working just fine. You don't need to do any addition setting to run remarketing for HTTPS website. Just insert tag from Google adwords shared library and its done.

If possible, insert remarketing tag manually and test your campaign.

It must work.

Hi Lukas

I am sorry about delayed response i was away last few days. Here are some of the things i observed which most probably are causing this issue.

  1. Your document is doctype xhtml
  2. Tealium is not loading CDATA in your remarketing code
  3. Although CDATA is not mandatory for XHTML document i think without CDATA "&" sign wont be parsed properly and thats what causing these issues.

Above are my primary thoughts based on rendered source & Tealium might have some setting for this. Personally I have never worked with Tealium so i cant be absolutely sure about it

Hope this helps

Hi lukas,

The code is not there. Atleast not on the homepage, i checked.
The Tag management solution is not firing the tag within which the remarketing code is placed.

You might want to find out a work around and put the code mannually, i dont know if that is possible....but somehow, get the code on the page.

Regards
Ellaiah.

The tag is there but I use Tealium (better google tag manager), remarketing code is working fine because my membership duration is 10 day and it would be gone if it was not working for http. The problem is https.

I know its not a problem of Tealium because conversion tag is working and others tags too.
