how do clicks on annotations in in-stream ads count?

Hello,

I'm running an in-stream campaign, my videos has annotations, cards, etc.

I'm trying to understand what happens if someone watches my ad and clicks on an annotation, which actually "belong" to the video and not the ad, does it count as an ad click?

what actually counts for a click in in-stream ads?

Thank you!

Maya

Hi @Alamu A thanks for taking the time to answer. Maybe my question wasn't clear enough, let me explain.

I'm running an in-stream ad, so if someone keeps seeing my ad (not click "skip") he actually sees my video, right? This person sees my video just because he was delivered with my ad.

This video has annotations, cards, notes with tagged URLs so I'd know which video drove traffic to my site. What happens when this guy clicks on an annotation? In my Google Analytics I have no way of knowing if he came from an ad or an organic view. I'm wondering if there's a way to solve this? and if Youtube takes this situation in account.

Many thanks!

Maya
