Hi,

Basically if i had the keyword [Blue Widget] in my account which had an est first page bid of £3.25 and est top page bid of £5.75 if i then added;

''Blue Widget'' would this phrase match inherit the est first page bid of £3.25 and est top page bid of £5.75?

Thanks

Hi SCL,

I believe your est. first page bid and top page bid are defined by:

  • The exact match version of your keyword, for this, [blue widget] and "blue widget" should give the same
  • Your Quality Score, which will likely be different for "blue widget" as it doesn't have the statistics history of [blue widget]

But the estimated bids will not be automatically inherited. (and I expect them to be different for both)  Also, it's considered best practice to avoid duplicate keywords

You can find more information on duplicate keywords in this thread: https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/Set-up-and-basics/Duplicate-Keywords-in-Different-Ad-Groups-...
