assisted conversions

Hi,

I have some doubts related to assisted conversions.

In terms of timing: The assisted conversions attributed to the source when the conversions happens or when the user clicked the ad, isn't it?

e.g. A user clicks on my ad on the 1st of August and doesn't convert but come back today 10th of August via organic and convert. The report will show an assisted  conversion on the 10th, wont it?

If so, What the cut off time is for an assisted conversion? eg. if someone clicks on and ad then returns to the site 2 months later is it still an assisted conversion? And, is there any difference between the data collected in Analytics in assisted conversions and the data collected in Adwords in attribution report?

Thanks

Hello there;
AdWords attributes the conversion to the last ad clicked.

Hi Veronica,

Adwords conversion and analytics goal(conversion) both works on different parameter. As adwords assistant conversion track last click conversion but analytics conversion tracks on the basis of real time conversion.

As you said, If USER comes to your website on 1st Aug he didn't purchase anything, but again user comes to website on 10th through organic search then conversion will counted under the organic conversion in analytics but If user comes to website on directly then conversion will counted under adwords.

Same conversion will count under direct conversion.

Hope it helps you.

Analytics works on real time converion adwords work on conversion window metric which is by default 30 days which you can change according to you.

Thanks, for those assisted conversions, what is the maximum time frame for an assisted conversion? for example, if someone visits my site via an Ad and then doesn't return for 2 months, is that still classed as an assist?
