Using simple AdWords implementation - URL in AdWords is the same as Squarespace URL. Test in AdWords finds the page correctly and tests correctly.
HOWEVER - when visitor clicks on the Ad - it receives no page found. Appears that AdWords or somehow it begins to use the Page Title in the URL...?
Why is AdWords appear to use page title as the URL, and then visitors receive no page fnd?
Hi Andy G,
AdWords doesn't do that to the address. There may be some sort of redirect happening on Squarespace. I did the gclid test on www.squarespace.com. lt did keep the gclid when opening the page.
Have you done the gclid test on your site? Just enter the landing page URL followed by "?gclid=asdfl-kjasdflkj". the value of the gclid is not significant. Then watch the page load. Does the address bar still include the gclid value? If not, contact Squarespace support to find out what's happening.
Best of Luck!
