Why are my phone conversions outweighing my total conversions?

I'm curious about an issue I am having in Google Adwords.

We have more Phone Conversions than Total Conversions in adwords.

I was under the impression that total conversions included phone conversions.

What exactly is going on with this?

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

If you are referring to Phone Call Conversion, that's actually Adwords will calculate once the minimum time duration which you have set while defining your Call Extensions will be measured and incremented. If that minimum time is not met, it will not be incremented.

When you go to Conversions Tab, there you will be able to identify the type of conversions i.e. either users filling up the forms and reaching thanks pages, call from ads i.e. click to calls happening from high end mobile phones etc...

Hope that helps!

Pankaj

Pankaj,

So if they are not at a certain length they don't get counted as conversions in the total? I just want to be clear.

That's how I could have 26 call conversions, but 20 total conversions.

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

To clarify more, if you see the below screenshot:

Phone calls are higher and phone call conversions are less because some calls didn't met the minimum time duration as I said above.

Hope that clarifies!

Yes I get that part. I'm saying the column, "Estimated Total Conversions" in my case is at 20, but "Phone Call Conversions" is at 26.

I'm trying to figure why the part is more than the whole.

I hope that helps and appreciate everything you've done.

Thanks,
James
