Whats your call ratio on call only ads?

Hey guys/gals,

Wondering what your ratio of phone calls to clicks are for your call only campaigns.

Mine over the last 6 months since implementing them on some of my campaigns is about 53% for one account and 97% for another account. Crazy difference! I don't know if it is due to the nature of the business or some other factor...

One of my agency strategies is pay per call, but with the latter campaign its not working out too hot...

I'm considering making a test ad that has a call to action saying something like "click to call" to see if that increases the ratio.

Wondering what your best practices are for call only campaigns.

The phone call ratio to clicks really varies by the industry you are advertising for & the keywords you are targeting. Sometimes the CTR can range from 2% - 10%.

Using the term "Click To Call" would actually get your ad disapproved - https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/6021546

I have seen as low as 10-20%.

It depends on the industry. If it is for an emergency plumber, expect a good ratio, because even if people weren't expecting the click to lead to a call, they will still make the call.
