What page to insert Google AdWords Conversion Tracking code?

I'm using Adobe Business Catalyst for my eCommerce page. I've tried to copy and paste the link into their HTML editor but when I run a test using Tab Assistant by Google it tells me it cant find CDATA. The HTML editor really isnt allowing me to edit that much HTML. I can't enter <body> or anything else without it just deleting that after saving changes.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the Adwords Community!

First things is you need to put/insert the conversion tracking code before closing of the body tag </body> on the confirmation page (Confirmation Page:is the page where your target is completed, is the thank you page)

Thanks,
Tushar

If you run into difficulties and cannot get the conversion tag inserted into the confirmation page consider using a Google Analytics Goal (if you have analytics installed).

Set the goal up to recognize when the confirmation page is loaded. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1032415?hl=en

Make sure to link the AdWords and Analytics accounts together.

If you can accomplish the steps above you should then be able to import your Analytics goals into AdWords and not need to use the conversion tracking tag at all.
