What is reason of the difference referral tracking URL in the ads?

In some of the ads displayed on Google, referral tracking URL is

But in others is

What is the reason for this difference?

Please note the following two real examples and highlights.

http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=C61UITrraVpCBKeLDywPU4J8I14rAgwjP6e3urgLryLqxFQg...

https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=Cpz1iBLzaVoTrEqLDywOPgKH4CdO-x5kH-_PgnMIC4I_QtSsIABABKAJg7QLIAQG...

Hi Javad,

In the summer of 2012 Google introduced the "googleadservices.com" domain as another possible referrer for ad clicks, in addition to the original "google.com" domain. This was done to streamline their infrastructure which creates a better experience for users by bringing them to landing pages faster. You can read more about it here: http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2012/06/speeding-up-ad-experience-updating-ad.html

You can still expect to see the different domains as referrers although I believe some countries (like the US) are almost wholly on the new redirect of "googleadservices.com".
