Text Ad Referral Link(s)

Hi,

I have noticed that when a customer visits my text ads on the google ppc search results sometimes my web server is recording the google tool bar URL instead of the aclk link location of my text ad(s). Does anyone know what maybe the issue here?

I have now deleted the campaign in question and the server logs, as the response has taken too long. I have found a huge issue however in the Adwords system which i hope you can pass onto the specialists. Please let me explain.......

When the very first domain in an Adwords account is introduced and used the adwords system has no problems at all calculating the ad rank formula no matter what page position (as it should), however if you ever change the initial domain within your account (for new branding or change of website) the Adwords system disables the accounts ad rank calculation facility for low page positioned ads/keywords.

It's as though the Adwords system places a minimum page requirement for the ad rank calculation to work on accounts which have had a change of domain.

I'm not 100% sure as yet what page position you need to be in for the ad rank calculation to work (as it did when the accounts very first domain was used) in order for the Adwords system to calculate ad rank correctly but it's looking like around page 3 or above. If anyone else could confirm on this that would be great?

Please can you pass this onto the specialists to look at and to rectify?
