Remarketing List

I'm asking similar question again because I am not satisfied with previous thread answer.

My site is migrated from http to https. I have doubt that old remarketing list is working because cart page, thank you page url have changed.

Do I need to create remarketing list for like Basket abandoners? If yes can I edit URL in old remarketing? I didn't find any option to edit url in remarketing list.

Thanks

Hi Santosh,

It depends upon whether you or your developers implemented permanent redirection going from http to https or does that happen for some pages of your website.

Also, if it's a permanent redirection, I believe the remarketing tag would remain the same. All you need to look at if you implemented any custom combinations depending upon various lists.

Thanks for your reply. I have one quick question. I have basket abandoners list I which I have define rules like visitors have visited to cart pages and not visited to thank you pages. cart pages and thank you pages are not redirected only all products, categories and content pages redirected.

Still old remarketing list works? I assume it won't work but I'm waiting for your reply for confirmation. If old remarketing list won't work can I edit url in old remarketing list because I haven't found edit url option. or need to create list again?

Thanks

Hi Santosh,

To the best of my understanding, the code would remain the same because it is the same domain for which you are implementing remarketing. Only change is from http to https and that too excluding the thanks pages as you said.

It will now depend on whether you implemented the code on whole website earlier or on some parts of it. If on some parts, you should cross check whether code is still present there or not after the redirections implemented.
