Hello Sindhu,

that is why you need conversion code implemented on your website. This way everyone who will click on the ad will receive a cookies from Google. Once user with these cookies will reach the page with with your conversion code - thank you page most preferably, then AdWords will record a conversion.

Hi Sindhu, how are things?

You should install a code called Conversion Tracking from Adwords. This will allow you to know if someone bought something coming from your campaign.

Here you can understand better how this works:

Here you learn how to set it up:

Sindhu,

If by "how can we can know that the people coming to us by adwords" you just mean the SOURCE of your users, there's two ways to achieve that:

1. Link Adwords with Analytics
This is the most recommended way to go with. By linkind Adwords with Analytics, you'll have automatically inside your Analytics, information from people who came by Adwords. You'll know which campaign/group/keyword/ad and everything else.

Check here on how to do it:

2. GA URL Builder
Byusing GA URL builder, you can pass information from Adwords to Analytics, the same as above, but manually. This is NOT recommended for Adwords usage, since it's a lot work to manage, and honestly, if there's a automatic solution, why bother with the manual one? This is usually for other kind of campaigns (not Adwords service), like if you want to track visitors coming from a Facebook post.

Hope this helps.
