Optimize your campaign: Questions for an AdWords Specialist
Hello, just discovered this forum, sure it will help greatly. I was wondering if there was any way to derive info as to the SOURCE of an individual click. I realize the email address of the clicker is private (it is, isn't it?), but information as to the geographical source/device type/time of day etc. would greatly enhance my ability to target advertising. In particular, I think the geographical source would be very helpful in identifying fraudsters, game players, and competitors, which I suspect waste a nice chunk of my budget. If anyone knows the answer(s), please provide "dummy level" step-by-step instructions for me to follow. Thanks in advance!

A lot of what you are asking about is available (except the email as you rightly point out!) in the Dimensions reports... play around in there to slice and dice your traffic.
But this data is also available in Google Analytics, and the advantage of GA is that you can look at data for all your traffic - where AdWords will only report on your AdWords traffic.
There is a lot more data and deeper segmentation available in GA - take a look at both options - it really depends on just how granular you want to get.
