One letter (one character) negative keyword - is it works? How?

Hi,

Is it possible to set one letter (one character if you want..) negative keyword?

Is it works?

How?

The reason I am interested in it, is because there are a lot of competitors who's name contains one letter. For example:
"J & D carpet cleaning services"

"A & G carpet cleaning services"

I found that people tend to search for my competitors typing this way:

j d  carpet cleaning services

a g carpet cleaning services

So, I am wondering, if I set "j d" as a broad match negative keyword, will it prevent my ads from showing for all queries containing those letters (characters)?

Hi Michael,

If you will add broad negative keywords

j

d

it will stop for queries like j cleaning services, d cleaning services, j and d cleaning services. Your ad will still show on queries like jd cleaning services.

You can also consider adding

jd - broad

"j and d" - phrase

"j & d" - phrase

Hope that helps!

Thanks

Neha

Ok.

IS that guaranteed info? Quite serious issue.
