Need to make Conversions appear in my Google Adwords campaign

Hello Everyone,

Please help me as I am new to Google adword.

I need to make Conversions appear in my Google Adwords campaign. Not sure whether the correct code is in place, and whether it is in the right landing pages.

Our customers pay through Worldpay. One of the problems in the past was that Worldpay removed the jsvascript from the information, so we lost the keyword and referrer details. Here is the code I used:

I\’d rather say the final thank you page is SERVED BY cb.pl. Here\’s the code which does it (it\’s the \’print_survey_dca\’ subroutine, I\’ve removed the debugging code here):

my $course_reply=$in\{\’M_cbt\’\}; $course_reply is the Thank you page url contained in the M_cbt variable. It\’s passed to WorldPay from the shopping cart page like this ....&MC_FN=Ilshat&M_cbt=http://www.inst.org/checkout/replies/copy.php&M_course_id=3.....

$course_reply= "http://www.inst.org/checkout/replies/index.php" if !$course_reply; if no Thank you page is supplied, use /replies/index.php

$ua = new LWP::UserAgent;

$ua->agent(\’Mozilla/5.0\’);

$req = new HTTP::Request(\’GET\’, $course_reply);

$res = $ua->request($req);

my $page_output = $res->content;

print "Content-Type: text/plain\n\n";

print "08012009".$page_output.""; this is the contents of the Thank you pages fetched by LWP. I\’ve added "08012009".and .""; (see my further comments) the original code was print $page_output; and I\’ll revert it back to that soon.

Thanks!!

Hi Pradeep,

I'm but confused about your query. However can you post the link that you have installed your conversion code so we can have a look?

Usually what you do is you go to adwords interface and go to tools-conversion tab and click on +conversion button and take code from their.

Hi Pardeep,

In order to track conversion you need to use Adwords conversion code at your thank you page.
You can get the code by going to Tools > Conversions

Your code will look like this;

<script type="text/javascript">
/* */
var google_conversion_id = 1018115725;
var google_conversion_language = "en";
var google_conversion_format = "1";
var google_conversion_color = "ffffff";
var google_conversion_label = "nhSJCOvutQgQ1brO4gM";
var google_remarketing_only = false;
/* */
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="//www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion.js">
</script>
<noscript>

<img height="1" width="1" style="border-style:none;" alt="" src="//www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/1012112725/?label=nhSJCOvutQgQ1brO4gM&guid=ON&scr...

</noscript>

Alternatively; If you have problem installing the code then you can create a goal in Google Analytics and then import that goal in Google Adwords. Then your conversion data will start appearing in Adwords.

Cheers,
Nouman

Hi Pardeep,

Place this code on the page that user see after completing a desire action such as registration form or contact us form submission etc.

Since your website also have option to make a call, So you should track phone call conversions too using your own or Google forwarding no. Check this link for more details https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2454052?hl=en-GB

Thanks,
Nouman

You can set up goals in Google Analytics. which is really easy. Just go to Admin > View > Goals
and then create a Goal, choose the type of Goal you want to create. Once the Goal is created then you can import it in to your Google Adwords reports. (Remember you need to auto-tag your Analytics and Adwords account first)
