My Adwords campaign data is not reflected in Analytics

I found two sets of instructions to link Analytics to Adwords and followed both. One was to go to Tools&Analysis\Admin\Data Sources and select my Analytics profile. And the other was to go to My Account/linked Accounts and choose the Analytics account. Two days have passed and still my Analytics traffic section shows no campaign traffic.

Hello Mohamed H,

Did you activate auto-tagging in Adwords?

In Adwords :
My account,
select Preferences.
Tracking, select
Automatically tag my ad destination URLs

** I´am learning Adwords and find it very interesting.
** Ik ben Adwords aan het leren en vind het erg boeiend.

- Ads are running?
- Did you use the date range for the right period in Analytics
- Do you have profile filters in Analytics that can reduce data?
- Did you do the gclid parameter test, to test if there is a redirect in the URL
- Is the Analytics tracking code working the landing page of your ad

Correction:

The Adwords data is available in Analytics but only in the Traffic_Sources/Adwords/Clicks tab which provides the same data as in Adwords. What I'm missing is the data under under Traffic_Sources/Campaigns which has no data and therefore I can't check stats like bounce rate and visit duration. Also in the Traffic Overview the campaign pie chart is showing 0% campaign traffic. Could this be due to lack of tracking code on the site?

You are talking about Traffic_Sources/Campaigns
Under Traffic_Sources/Sources/search/Campaigns you see the data from marketing of campaigns. You can rack this in Google Analitycs with your own mad URL parameters.

Hello Mohamed H,
order to link the accounts, you would need a common email address that is listed as an administrator on both the AdWords and the Analytics account. To add an email address (that is already listed as an administrator on the AdWords account) to the Analytics account, please follow the below mentioned steps

1. Log in to your Analytics account using an email address that is listed as an administrator on the Analytics account.
2. Click the Admin tab at the top right of any page in Analytics.
3.Click the account to which you want to add an administrator.
4. Click the Users tab.
5. Click + New User.
6. Enter the email address that you would like to add to the Analytics account.
7. Select Administrator below the email address field.
8. Click Create User to create the new user.

3. To link your AdWords account with the Analytics account, please follow the steps provided at this link.
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033961?hl=en

4. After linking the accounts, please enable cost source by following the below mentioned steps:
Click the Admin tab at the top right of any Analytics page.
Click the account to which you want to import cost data, and then select the relevant property.
Use the Profile drop down menu to select the profile.
Click the Profile Settings tab.
Under AdWords Cost Source Settings, check the Apply cost sources box.
Click the Apply button.
After linking the accounts, please allow 24 hours for the AdWords data to start importing into the Analytics account. This will allow you to see the clicks and visits data from AdWords in the Analytics account (under Advertising->AdWords).

- Ads are running?
Yes. As I explained there is clicks data but no visits.
- Did you use the date range for the right period in Analytics
Yes
- Do you have profile filters in Analytics that can reduce data?
No filters
- Did you do the gclid parameter test, to test if there is a redirect in the URL
I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but after loading the URL with the appended gclid parameter the parameter still shows but the page is not loading and giving an error. Does mean the auto tagging is not working properly?
- Is the Analytics tracking code working the landing page of your ad
I'm not sure how to test this but if my Analytics Content\Site Content shows data for those landing pages doesn't that mean that the code is functioning

Sorry but what do you mean by my own URL parameters?
