Must a forwarding-number call be answered to count as a "Phone Call"?

I've scoured all the support text and forums, too, for the answer to this question. Is a "Phone Call" registered simply at the invocation of the Google forwarding number, or must the call be connected to register as a call? The way I read the documentation indicates that a user could theoretically call the number, let it ring twice and hang up, and it would count as a call (if the threshold was set at 1 second in an attempt to track every call).

Is this correct? Thanks for the help!

Best,

Josh

In order to be counted as a call somebody has the pick the phone call otherwise it won't count as a call.

If you set 1 sec as the threshold then someone has to pick the phone for at least a second.

Thanks, @StructuredPPC -- that's what I always thought. If you can point me in the direction of some Google-authored clarification on this, let me know! Because the support section seems to indicate otherwise.

I couldn't find out a support article but i think its logical to think like that. But i don't know whether you can measure the call duration when the call is transferred to your own number.

I am not a technical person so have doubt in this region. May be a network specialist can assist us in this regard.
