Importing GA goals based on isolated events

Hey there,
I am trialling an external call tracking solution (IOVOX). They are tracking based on unique phone numbers for each keyword instead of dynamic number rotation used by other providers. The calls are pushed as events into Google Analytics. However, the events aren't linked to any GA session. When I create goals based on those events and import them into AdWords, no conversions appear in AdWords.

Could it be that AdWords only imports Goals completions as conversions that are linked to an AdWords session?

Regards,

Jochen

Hi Jochen,

I know if you are tracking any actual goal conversions in the form of sign up, transaction and also any events that are trigerring (videos engagement, downloads etc..), you can import them as conversions into Google AdWords. More details here:- https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1034306?hl=en

Can you check with your third party vendor if the linking you are trying to achieve, will it actually work or not. Also the lag is of 9 hours (https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2375435?visit_id=1-636219755364911227-422561632&rd=1) if you import goals into AdWords.
