The best way to do this is using AdWords scripts
https://developers.google.com/adwords/scripts/

There's actually plenty of free resources and scripts available online where you can simply copy someone else's script or modify it.

Thanks for the reply,
I did search around for script as I am not good in scripting unable to get the specific script that best tackle my problem.

Best if the community able to provide me with example/link for the specific script.

Thank you.

Hey Yong Y,

You do not need scripts to perform this function. You are able to do it with automated rules.

Learn how to set them up here:
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2472779?hl=en

Some commone ways to use automated rules:
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2497710?hl=en

With the automated rule you can ask it to send you an email when your budget reaches a certain amount. Play around with them to find the settings that best suit you.

Good call Clayton.
I completely forgot about custom rules because I use scripts so much now Smiley Happy

As per that document-

ou can use automated rules to trigger emails when certain conditions occur. For example, let's say that you have a campaign with a daily budget of $100. You can set an automated rule to run at noon every day to email you if you’ve spent more than $50 so far that day. Upon receiving the email alert, you can then choose whether you want to increase your budget so as not to throttle your campaign for the rest of the day.

To create a rule that sends an email if specific campaigns have accrued more than $50 in cost by 12 p.m.:

Click All online campaigns in the left panel of your AdWords account.
From the list of campaigns below, check any that you want to monitor with this rule.
From the Automate button drop-down button above your campaign details, select Send email when...
In the "Apply to" section, choose Selected campaigns.

Hi All,

Thank you for all the replies, however the suggestions above still unable to solve my issue.
What I need is an account level "Remaining Account Budget" Alert via email.

Looking for:
Remaining Account Budget < 80% for a particular account in MCC,
Then will send an alert email.

This is possible with Adwords Script, however I can't write script and didn't seem able to google for solution.

Thank you.

Hey Yong,

You should still be able to do this with auto-mated rules.

Set up a rule for > send email > when cost (found under performance) is greater than a certain amount. that amount will be equal to 20% of your budget if you are looking for "80% remaining"

You can set different rules for each account.

The down side is this can only be checked at most once a day. so if you want it to check more often than that then scripts will be the answer.

You could post the script you are looking for here:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/adwords-scripts

Perhaps someone has a script they are willing to share with you.

Good Luck

Hi,
Gretings!

You can use Automatic rules, by using Automated rules you can save you time by operating across your account based on criteria that you specify.
How To Apply:-
Apply to :- Campaign Name
Requirements :- Budget <= Your Spending Alert
And Save

After doing this you will get alert by Email.

Thanks
