Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Hello ,

I have using two different landing pages for single domain in adword account  . I have created the convertion tracking code for both landing pages. I have found that both convetion code is same, also have created two separated campaign for two different landing page. So my question is that how google can track my convertions for different landing pages.

Thanks

Sanjay

Hi Sanjay,

I think if you look closely at the 2 sets of code you will find a different conversion_id and a different conversion_label.

If both campaigns lead to the same "thank you page", you only need once set of the conversion code. AdWords will attribute to the proper campaign, ad group, ad and keyword.

The only time you really need to create a different conversion code is for different types of conversion, ex. one conversion for inquiry/leads, a different conversion for sales.

Best of Luck!

Hi Sanjay,

It is very simple, now you have two separate conversion tracking code, then it's need to upload first conversion tracking code for first landing page and second conversion tracking code for second landing page.

both conversion tracking code give your separate stats.

Thanks,
Tushar

Hi Sanjay,

That is correct. I'm not sure how Google uses the 2 values. The different label is all it needs to distinguish between the different conversions.

Hi Sanjay,

Where did the conversion show up? In Analytics? Conversions in Analytics can report on a different day than AdWords.
