Hi Everyone

Sorry bit a bit of a newbie question here: once I've set up a Conversion Tracking Code within the Adwords platform how can I actually assign it to one of my Ad Campaigns?? Is that possible?

Many thanks for your kind help Smiley Happy

Hi Gary,

You can't assign conversions to campaigns as such. What are you trying to achieve?

An easy way of seeing which conversions are happening based on a campaign basis is to use segments.

Hi Gary,

Google stores which ad / keyword triggered the ad in a cookie, and passes that information onto the conversion script.

So there is no need to assign conversions to campaigns (and you can't) - Google knows where to assign conversions.

Are you more familiar with FB or Bing ads? Their conversion code installation is a little different that AdWords conversion code... Only one code is needed per conversion action for the entire AdWords account. Google doesn't use campaign as a prerequisite to generate the code, or track results.
