How to access keyword tools

Ok, I used to use the keywords tool a year ago, I understand that it is now part of adWords.  Every guide I have encountered for doing keyword research claims to log into adwords and click on "tools" up top and choos "keyword planner".  I don't have that bar with the "tools" menu item.  All I have is a page that wants to gather information/banking etc. from me.  it reads at the top  "about your business>Your first campaign>Billing>Review| "

Can't a guy just do some keyword research?

Hi John,

Yes you can do keyword research. Just that AdWords interface changed abit. Please see the below screenshot to find keyword planner:

To access Keyword Planner, sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.

Click the Tools drop-down menu and select "Keyword Planner" as suggested by NEHA GUPTA.

That's precisely the problem. I don't have a drop-down menu at all. All I have is a bar reading: "about your business>Your first campaign>Billing>Review| "

On another weird note...Why did google mark all comments to my question as "accepted Solution" That's pretty arrogant of google to do that. No big brother google, I have NOT found an accepted solution yet; why don't you let ME decide when MY problem is solved.

Nope, making a new gmail yields the same results. I and up landing on the Billing page and it doesn't let me proceed unless I give google banking or credit card information.  Super Lame.

It looks like this:

John, Its not essential to setup Billing method. You can done it anytime by skip this option.
When you reach on this page. Click on the logo , you will redirected to home page and you have the option to access Keyword Planner.

I appreciate you trying to help but I think your advice is false. Log out of your google account, make a fictitious google account and try for yourself. There is no "clickable" logo. You will hit a billing paywall that allows you to go no further unless you comply.

I'm having the same issue. this is so lame! why is this happening? All the info Ankit has offered does not work. Google is trying to charge me to set up an account. We are NOT permitted to move forward or save and continue without inputing billing info
