How do I track call conversions from a Google forwarding number?

I have some campaigns setup with Call Extensions and calls over 30 seconds supposed to count as a conversion; however, it seems Google treats call conversions differently from regular ones: they're not included under the Tools > Conversions tab or under Campaigns or Dimensions. How do I integrate call conversions into my regular conversion tracking for reporting purposes? The only place I can see them is under the Ad Extensions tab. How do I see Phone Conversions segmented per day along with the rest of the standard indicators (clicks, impressions conversions, ctr% etc)? I'd like to have my cost/conversion reflect BOTH call conversions and click ones, especially for reporting under the Dimensions > Day segment.

Hi ,

First of all please go to the page on your website that shows the clickable phone number. Then open up the HTML code so you can edit it.

Then Find the body tags (<body></body>) of the page, then paste the code snippet you generated in AdWords between those two tags

After that you have to adjust the HTML code using a command called "onclick." The particular "onclick" command you use will depend on how the phone number on your mobile website is displayed: text link, image, or button.

Here's some sample code close up:

For the tracking to work, you'll need to make sure you include both the code snippet and the appropriate 'onclick' tags from one of the examples above. This tells AdWords to record a conversion only when customer clicks on a specific phone number. Without it, no conversion will be recorded!

I'm afraid you didn't read my post carefully. I'm only using a Call Extension with a Google Tracking Number, and it's supposed to record a conversion after 60 seconds. I want to be able to see how many of THOSE conversions I'm getting on a daily basis. For example, If I want to know how many clicks per day I got over the last seven days, I can go to the dimensions tab and filter by Day. Same goes for web site conversions via form submissions. How can I add Phone Conversion data to that?

Hi Casey,

Sorry for the mis-understanding.

Kindly do the followings:

1. Go to Campaign Tab
2. Click on Campaign sub Tab
3. Click on Columns Drop down menu
4. Select Customize Columns
5. Then click on Call details
6. Now Add specific metrics like phone impressions, phone calls etc
7.Then again click on conversions
8. Now again add phone call conv.
9. Select apply.

In dimensions Tab you can only see Call details (If you click on View drop down menu)
