HI All

Is there a delay between ad words and analytic data?

for example I have a few days (more than 24 hours ago) where I have more clicks than acutal visits to my website.

Thanks

Nick

Hello Nick and welcome,

Google Adwords and Google Analytics are both different products of Google and work on different algorithms in terms of many matrices.

Yes, you can definitely have more clicks and less visits. Take an example: a user clicks your Google ad and before your landing page loads properly, the user decide to quit the browser. So what will happen is that Adwords will record a click but there will be no visit under Analytics for the same click (as the landing page doesn't load).

Similarly, there can be more visits under your Google ANalytics account and less number of clicks because the way data is calculated under both products is different.

Read this article explaining the difference between clicks, visits, visitors etc for more insights.

Hope that helps!
