Google new Conversion Tracking code
Could anyone please explain what is this below highlighted line mean in the conversion tracking code
var google_conversion_id = 982218464;
var google_conversion_language = "en";
var google_conversion_format = "3";
var google_conversion_color = "ffffff";
var google_conversion_label = "Q7PBCO7h4AQQoq7B2wM";
var google_conversion_value = 1.000000;
var google_remarketing_only = false;
we are using same id( 982218464) for both remarketing and conversion code.
So var google_remarketing_only = false; is that mean we are not using remarketing code on the conversion tracking page ?
But we use both code in the Thankyou Page.
As per my understanding, the default conversion tracking code which you insert on thanks page or check out success page has this default value set as false for remarketing.
But in order to have remarketing run for your account, you need to implement separate code where this remarketing variable is set as true.
The remarketing code and the conversion code are very similar. The conversion code (var google_remarketing_only = false will record as a conversion. The conversion may be used in a remarketing campaign as well. When "var google_remarketing_only = true;", a conversion is not recorded, but the visitor is added ot the remarketing list.
Best of Luck!
