Google Forwarding Number

The company I work for is based in the UK.

We have a store with multiple views based on language (English, French, German etc).

Our phone number is 01257 XXXYYY.

If I add the following code to our website:

_googWcmGet('number', '01257XXXYYY');

I get a local freephone number like 0333 123 456.  This is great.

However, if I add a french number (which redirects to us):

_googWcmGet('number', '+33 XXXXXXXXX');

I get a local number thats similar to our actual number like 01257 YYYZZZ.  This is no good as France can't ring this number.

How can I serve a local french number in France?

Hi Lee,

Where exactly you want to add this number? In case you are talking about the Google forwarding number, then France does accept that. I think if you target separate landing page for separate countries, use different phone numbers for UK, France which exists on those landing pages, then it would automatically showcase local number of that area. Hi Pankaj

I have a separate page for France and for the UK, but the Google Forwarding
Number that generates on the France page is still a UK local number.

Where in the settings do I make it a France local number?
I can show you the code if it helps:
