Goal Reverse Path

Hello,

I'm looking at the reverse goal path for my "sale" goal... it goes back 4 steps - does anyone know if htis is the maximum?

The reason I ask is that my AdWords visitros seem to be getting lost somewhere along the way (I think that between the main site pages and the shopping cart there is a redirect which is losing track of the visitors but I'm not sure).

a numbert of the completed sales are coming from an intyenral referral path - so that's why I'0m thinking that perhaps these steps are the only ones which GA is "aware" of....

Thanks...

Hi sticklebax,

Probably the Reverse Goal Path Report shows 3 steps prior to every sale/lead you have inside Google Analytics. I have also witnessed the same.

My suggestion would be to use the Funnels with your goals and analyse funnel visualization report for business decisions.
