Hello, experts,

wish to ask about Funnel set up.

I have following site structure:

/lv/products/xxx/

/lv/products/xxx/yyy/

/lv/products/cart/view

/lv/products/checkout/step2

/lv/products/checkout/step3

/lv/products/checkout/thankyou

where xxx could be different product categories like video, audio, mobile etc

where yyy could be different product pages like samsung TS545 etc

I wish to create one goal with a funnel where I can see how visitors move through above mentioned pages. Problem is that there are a lot of different xxx and yyy pages. I need to use RegEx to set up Funnel. Can you help me please with this issue. I have some ideas. Are they correct?

Goal URL

/lv/products/checkout/thankyou

Funnel

/lv/products/.*/$          (all xxx pages)
/lv/products/.*/.*/$      (all yyy pages)

/lv/products/cart/view

/lv/products/checkout/step2

/lv/products/checkout/step3

Thanks in advance.

Hello.

They look correct to me. But the best way to test it is to go to a content report in Analytics, see all the pages which were accessed by website visitors, and use one of your regular expressions to filter for content. If you see only the pages you're interested there, and not others, then the regex is right.

You can also use an online regex checker, but I found it's more handy to stay within the Analytics interface.
