Final URL sends Visitors to a redirect - Analytics Categorization

Hello, if my final url ends up on a redirect, does my visit count as paid traffic, organic traffic, or direct traffic? I had read somewhere that when there is a redirect, the visit counts as organic.

Please advise.

Thank you

Your final URL should not end up as a redirect. It should be the final place the searcher arrives when clicking on the ad. Using a redirect is against AdWords policy.

To answer your question, unless the redirect goes to a Google search results page, it will show up as Direct in Analytics.

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I am not the manager of the account, as I never send visitors to a redirect, but only doing reporting for them in this case.

Have a great day
