Failed to download keywords to CSV file from Keyword Planner

Hi, I hope someone at Google can fix this. I've a list of 1400 keywords in the Keyword Planner that I'm trying to download to an Excel CSV file, but keep getting the message "Your download operation failed. Please try again."

I've tried again repeatedly over the last hour or two, and in various browsers. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have had the same problem since this morning (GMT). Any help would be great.

Any resolution David? I'm still stuck and no support from Google yet. On another forum I posted on, someone said they'd had a similar problem, but said, "only when trying to download ad groups that I've already downloaded. Once I remove these it seems to work."

This doesn't really help much - I don't want to remove ad groups that I downloaded the day previously, as they've grown and adapted substantially since then. I want to download the latest version of the words I've collected in each ad group. Hope this is sorted out soon, this may cost us a potential new AdWords customer if we can't complete our research.

I still have the same issue but I found a way to get the information I needed.

In 'Download your plan' I unticked 'Historical Statistics'. This enabled me to at least download the list of keywords (I only had 160 though).

I then copied and pasted those keywords back into 'get search volume'. I could then download this information to get the 'Avg monthly searches' for my Excel file.

Unfortunately, I had to manually add in duplicate keywords myself in Excel.

Hi David, thanks for the tip. That worked after a fashion, in that I do now
have a list of the keywords and the groups I had sorted them into. Next
step, getting search volumes. I know that the planner balks at any attempt
to paste in too long a list, so I just tried three words from one of my ad
groups to begin with. Unfortunately even that isn't working for me right
now - I get a message saying "We can't display search volume data/charts.
There was a problem retrieving ideas. Please try again".

I have had a reply from Google Support, advising all the usual things like
clearing browser cache, cookies, disabling browser extensions, restarting
computer, etc. all to no avail. A colleague has had the same result from a
different computer at work. I'll try once more from my home computer this
evening to rule out any office network implications, and then I'll get back
to Support in the morning.

Thanks for helping me get part way there!
