I have a keyword X which has an initial quality score of 10 when i appended to the ad. It showed that the ad relevance was good. But after a couple of days when i reviewed the quality score again it displayed it as 3. I wonder what might have happened in the mean time?

Hi lakkaraju,

This usually means you had a very low CTR on your ad, particularly in comparison to performance of the keyword for other advertisers.

Best of Luck!

Although CTR is the main factor of the QS, there are more things you can check :

You should check also your landing page status from the keyword, it may indicate a "below average" landing page experience. This is a thing you can tweak.

Do you have that keyword from the ad group in the text of your ads , especially the title ?

Is it a simple broad match keyword or what match type does it have ?

Could it be a duplicate keyword , do you also have it in another campaign ?

Are you using negative keywords in that ad group or campaign ?
