Conversions in other search terms

Hi all,

I have many conversions in my search terms report but on the "other search terms" line...

it's strange because I should (I want) see terms which converts...

It's not a synchronization issue, I see this problem in last month or other older dates...

Many thanks for your help.

Hi there;
There are search terms that Google does not reveal:
My personal assumption: those are "long tail queries" that could disclose some info Google considers to be "personal" , hence does not show them.

Hi
Adding more point in the thread
Other Search terms did trigger your add and still they are not shown. This is because google consider that those keywords are too rare and therefore they will not be shown.

Other search terms also includes those term which gained ad impression but didn't receive any clicks in the last 30 days.

All such terms are clubbed in single terms that is called Other Search Terms. I know it does not give the real search terms but you can use Google ananlytics to find those complete search term list.

Interesting point by @Rakesh Kumar about Analytics; However; to my knowledge those terms will be shown in Analytics as "not set"

"In the AdWords search-terms report, all terms classified as "(other search terms)" will be reported as (not set)."

But, I am not  an Analytics guy....

Nik? @theniks  - can you comment?

Hey Moshe,

Since the advent of secure search, all search terms in Analytics will be "not set".

HI Pete,

I guess that only happens for organic search for paid search the search terms are visible in analytics.

About the original question will post in a while as it will require more time to answer that

Interestingly, that's only going to be of much use if your conversions are GA goals - GA cannot import AdWords conversions to marry them to the search query - another factor in the ongoing debate between the relative merits of GA goals vs AdWords conversions....

Hi all,

Many thanks for your answers, but my client doesn't use Google Analytics, he uses XITI.

My conversions are only AdWords conversions...

I don't think search terms are "personnal" content sector my client...

HI
Although now the question of GA is out of question but just for the record @MosheTLV  is correct and other search terms will be shown as (not set) in GA as per documentation.

But strangely enough i ran some reports in my GA trying to match "other search terms" to (not set) but it didnt work. Basically on an account where i had "other search terms" i checked in GA for same date range for search queries filtering out traffic only from search networks but there was not a single (not set)

So its kind of strange that documentation suggests it "other search terms" should be (not set) in GA but in practical it doesnt seem to be happening

Hi All,

I have a confirmation from my Account, from the Google Support. Rakesh's answer is good...

In French :

Hello Valentin,

Many thanks.
