Conversions in AdWords for Video

Hi

 

If I see conversions registrered for a campaign in the "AdWords for Video" interface, are those conversions unique (as last-click-attribution) for that campaign or could it overlap with conversions another campaign in the ordinary AdWords interface?

Thanks for your query.

 

Conversion information in the AdWords for Video interface relates directly to your video campaigns.

 

Conversion information in the normal 'all online campaigns' section of your account will be related to your standard (non Video) campaigns only.

 

Conversion information in the Conversions Tab underneath 'Tools and Analysis' are account wide.

I am not sure I fully understand how this work.

Let´s say someone clicks an ad from a searc-campaign in the ordinary AdWords-interface. 2 days later wathces a video-ad from an "AdWords for Video"-campaign. Then makes a search for the company name, reaches their website and converts. Which campaign will be attributed the conversion - the Search campaign? The AdWords for Video-campaign? Both?

I am interested how to track each (multi-per-view) conversions in the video campaigns.

Hypothesis :

 

I have only one video campaign and one normal Search only text Ads campaing.

 

In the "Tools and analysis / Conversions" I have 10 conversions-type1 (many-per-click) conversions and 100 conversions-type2 (many-per-click).

 

In the Campaign tab ( for the non-video campaigns) , I segment per "conversion action name" and I read 

 

3 conversions-type1 (many-per-click) conversions and 30 conversions-type2 (many-per-click).

 

How can we segment the "conversion action name" in the video campaign ? We can't but we can subtract them from the total Conversions , by assuming that "many-per-click" and "many-per-view" are the same metrics.

 

As a conclusion my only 1 video campaign would generate the following :

 

7 conversions-type1 (many-per-view) conversions and 70 conversions-type2 (many-per-view).

 

Did I arrive at the correct conclusion ? And if yes, how do we attribute the (many-per-view) multiple conversion action names if we have more than 1 video campaign, to each of the video campaigns in the absence of a segmentation per "conversion action name" ?
