Conversion Tracking for E commerce website
I have a question regarding conversions tracking for ecommerce websites.
What is the ideal way to set up conversion tracking for an ecommerce store?
Typically we can easily find out what are the keywords that led to a conversion (sale of a product) but it gets more challenging when we want to track the exact keyword that led to the sale of a particular product.
Assuming the ecommerce website has 100 products, is there anyway to know the exact keywords driving sales for the individual products?
Re: Conversion Tracking for E commerce website
Have you ever used the Doubleclick for Search (DS)?
With DS you can track your keyword performance with floodlight tag.
And then the floodlight tag with serve you with an unique ID for every keywords that generates conversion. You can find more on this link: https://support.google.com/ds/answer/2478281?hl=en&ref_topic=2478217&rd=1
For the other option, maybe you can use new feature from AdWords that called AdWords Conversion Import (http://adwords.blogspot.com/2013/09/measure-optimize-for-offline-sales-with.html) . But i'm not sure it can be track every single keyword with an unique ID that DS can do
