[Conversion Tracking] Error Tag Manager: No HTTP response detected

Hi,

I'm getting the No HTTP response detected error on my order confirmation page, as the Google tag manager says.

My shop is built with Prestashop ver 1,6 (php) and is pretty frustrating because I can't find a valid and definitive solution.

Do you have any "successful" experience implementing the track in PS?

Please, I'm a little bit stressed.

Dear Klener,

Missing HTTP Response denotes that, while the AdWords Remarketing code was detected in the page source, the script itself did not execute. Each time the AdWords Remarketing script executes, we expect an HTTP Response carrying the AdWords Remarketing request to Google’s servers carrying conversion_id, conversion_label, conversion_value and page URL.
This means that the AdWords Remarketing code is not implemented properly on the page and no conversions will be tracked.

Recommended Action: Reinstall the AdWords Remarketing snippet by removing the current iteration, copy a new version from the AdWords interface, and insert that version into the site.

Kindly let me know if you require any additional info.

Best regards,
Gokuldas K

Hello and first of all thanks for your support.
This is the solution that I read in the manual but... I just only copy & paste the tracking code given by my Adwords account in a .tpl file of my prestashop store.
Sorry but I have no deep technical knowledge and I cant understand this:

Could you please clarify a little bit?
Thanks a lot.

HI Klener, implementing bespoke code with CMSs can be very tiresome, and it's my primary reason for disliking them. I'm pretty sure I've done a Prestashop installation of Google code for a client recently, but I'll need to look for it; I'll report back if I find it.

The most common problem with editing template (tpl) files is not identifying the code correctly. CMSs tend to use their own tags to identify page elements and if you add something like a snippet of Google js you usually have to enclose it in special tags such as <literal></literal> (which I recall Prestashop uses) to tell the system to treat the code within the tags as "raw" code and not to try and interpret it as the CMS would.

I'd first take a look at your tpl file, and help pages, and ensure your Google tag is correctly identified as needing to run "as is". As I said, this will often be defined by enclosing the code in specific tags, and the help pages should show you how.

Hi Jon,
Thanks a lot for your help.
I´ve implemented the literal tags but the no-http response problem persists.
Tag manager detects the snippet and th script and noscrip tags.
The code (i've just hided my ids info):
<literal>
<script type="text/javascript">
/* */
var google_conversion_id = XXXXXXXXX;
var google_conversion_language = "en";
var google_conversion_format = "2";
var google_conversion_color = "ffffff";
var google_conversion_label = "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX";
var google_remarketing_only = false;
/* */
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion.js">
</script>
<noscript>

<img height="1" width="1" style="border-style:none;" alt="" src="http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/XXXXXXXXX/?label=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&guid=ON&am...

</noscript>
</literal>

Hi everybody.

I've the same problem.

tracking code ok but http response error.

After several tries, i've found the issue was the AdBlock extension in chrome.

After avoid the block from the page with the tracking code, it started working!

Hope this can help!

Hi Jon, i installed corretly the remarketing tag in my site http://www.skyway.mx

It is working properly. There's just one detail, a few days ago I started to see that I did not register more users in the public remarketing.
Now I make a mistake (on some pages) implement literal tags.
According assistant Tag this evil installed on the front page and some other well is installed (when only install with literal)

Example:
code with error: http://skyway.mx/22-banderas-publicitarias
without error code: http://skyway.mx/banderas-de-acero/13-skybanner-acero-base-cruz.html
In most brand products not mistake the code but on the homepage and some categlrias the continuous error.
I have a couple of days looking for solution to this problem and I have found, I hope to receive a comment that allows me to fix the error.
Thank you
