Combining Customer Variable with Average Order Value

I've added a Custom Variable to my website to identify groups of users.

I have eCommerce tracking set up, and am able to view the number of Transactions, Revenue, etc for each group.

However, I'd really like to see Average Order Value (AOV) for each group.

Does anyone know how I might be able to achieve this?

In a perfect world, I could just add a 'secondary dimension' of AOV in "Audience -> Custom -> Custom Variables", but this isn't an option.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi, Rob.

I'll assume that the scope of the custom variables is correctly set (see Avinash's great article on this here: http://www.kaushik.net/avinash/hits-sessions-metrics-dimensions-web-analytics/)

If it is, you may give custom reports a try (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1151300?hl=en) and if that doesn't work, maybe the API can help (https://developers.google.com/analytics/).

May I ask which is the report that gives you transactions and revenue but doesn't have AOV?

I just needed to create a custom report. I forgot about the difference between metrics and dimensions.
