Can I upgrade to final URLs?

Hi there guys!

So currently our Adwords run as so:

Advert has destination url: http://xyz.com/page-title

This has now been converted to Final URL: http://xyz.com/page-title

However we track every single keyword using a "code" so on each of our keywords Destination URLs it will look something like: http://xyz.com/page-title/?code=CODEHERE

Do I need to / Can I just upgrade every keyword to Final URL (the automated way) or should I not?

Also, currently ALL of my keywords are showing "Keyword Disapproved - Invalid HTML Response"

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi @Senna L,

Welcome to AdWords Community.

In general, 'Invalid HTML Response' indicates that your URLs are resulting in 404 'not found'. They are broken. Why? It must be because of your tracking implemented wrongly to the URL.

The way out from here would be to make use of Shared Tracking Template to insert your tracking info to the URL.

You said you track every single keyword with a code. Does this code remain the same for all keywords in the adgroup/campaign or does it change individually?

If you could elaborate a bit more about the scenario and the purpose for such codes, it would be helpful in coming up with further advice on Tracking Template and your Final URL.

Thanks
Ratan Jha
