Avg time on page and Avg session duration

Hi All,

I am little confuse over my Google analytics data.

I have a page which I am using as my landing page for my PPC ads. Campaign motive is lead generation. The campaign is live for last 15 days and now it's producing metrics. The landing page is a single page website and once the visitor fills the form he's taken to the thank you page where the tracking code is installed.

The confusing point is between two metrics one the Avg time on page and avg session duration.

My avg session duration is just 00:00:13 but the Avg time on page is 00:02:21.

So if the the Avg time on page is 00:02:21 is how come avg session duration is just 00:00:13

Shouldn't be these figure same?

Can someone put some light on this

Hi Bubble ,

Your information is not much clear. But I can clearly see your trying to compare two metrics in two different reports.

I hope this answer from Bilbo will clear your confusion.

Please Note: "Avg. Session Duration" is the one we called as "Avg. Visits Duration" in past.
