Average position search geography?

I'm not understanding average position. Is there a geographic feature that factors into the calculation? My page ranks relatively high for certain keywords that must not be on a national level.

Hi Rebecca,

Is this in regard to ads or organic results? Either way, geography *is* a factor. Specific to AdWords, competition varies across different geographies so you'll likely rank differently in different areas. You can see how you perform in different geographies by using the 'Geographic' report within the dimensions tab.

Hope this helps!
