Auto-Tagging option not showing up under Account Settings>Preferences

Hello, I've never had this issue with a client's MCC before. When I view preferences under account settings the "enable auto-tagging" option does not appear. Is there something else that needs to be set-up for the option to show? Thanks

This is now shown in the gear options under preferences. Is this the place you are looking at?

You are looking at the old UI. Haven't you switched the account to the new UI?(more than a year old by now)

Do I need to switch to enable auto-tagging?

first, thank you for the screen-capture.

generally, tracking/auto-tagging is (only) an ad-account-level option.

that screen-capture looks to be stuck on the mcc/manager-account preferences;
an mcc/manager cannot be used to set tracking across multiple ad-accounts --

or, perhaps the linked (client) account is also an mcc-account.

first, try re-selecting a specific ad-account within the mcc --
then, select the gear icon > account-settings > preferences,
for that specific (client) ad-account; tracking should then
be a preferences option to edit.

also, for most accounts, the __c url parameter should change,
and is different from the main mcc account AcctPref/Home url.

otherwise, contacting google directly is the best likely course.

Hi @MosheTLV,

I am having the same problem as Kevin. I can't find where to enable auto-tagging on my MCC account. Shouldn't this option be shown here? https://snag.gy/dvHD95.jpg

Hi @Celebird,

I am trying to set up a cross-account conversion tracking system to track offline conversions from my MCC account. In order to do this, I need to enable auto-tagging on my MCC account, right?

Without GCLID I won't be able to track offline conversions using AdWords API (using the MCC account's token).

Do you have any suggestions?
