Audience Overview Unique Visitors total differs from All Traffic total
I was reviewing the Unique Visitor data in the Audience/Overview tab in GA, and have discovered this is greater than the Unique Visitor total in the Acquisition/All Traffic tab.
Any ideas as to why these totals are different yet all other totals are the same?
Re: Audience Overview Unique Visitors total differs from All Traffic t
Are you sure you're looking at Unique Visitors in both tabs? In my Audience Overview tab in GA I see Unique Visitors, but then I click on the Acquisition/All Traffic tab I see Total Visits and then New Visits.
New Visits and Unique Visits are calculated differently, and they will never match exactly. For more on how Uniques & New Visits are reported, see links below.
Finally, if you are seeing two different Unque numbers reported in GA, and you're sure you looking at same date range and same channels, try posting a picture here so people can see what you're seeing and help you diagnose. Hope this helps!!

[Edit: In case you are looking at the Audience for Remarketing]
I suppose your Audience is smaller , because the audience for remarketing in Google Analytics totals only visitors who accepted a 3rd party cookie from doubleclick.net. You audience is made from active 3rd party cookies.
Some browsers have plug ins to reject doubleclick cookies or a setting to reject 3rd party cookies. These will not store the remarketing cookie, although they can be counted as a visit.
Using the Ads Settings, visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads.
Also the audience can decrease in time after a certain amount of users clear their cache and cookies, especially the mobile audience.
Please read the Policy requirements for Display Advertising and also
