Are URLs with variables a best practice?
I have a lot of ads groups that I deal with every day. None of them currently have variables in the URL. Is this considered a best practice? I see that while the data in Analytics is good, it is far from thorough as I cannot track ad groups.

If you go to Analytics, expand the "Advertising" section, expand the AdWords section and click on campaigns. Now look just below the graph. It will show "Campaign" in bold and a link next to it that says "Ad Group". Click on that to see your ad group data.
If your AdWords and Analytics accounts are linked properly, there's no real reason to add variables to track properly in Analytics.
