i set up adwords conversion tracking  ad analytics goal trackingl for the same lead gen form. However, the number of goal completion in Analytic came from PPC  is DIFFERENT from the number of conversion in Adwords.

Are they supposed to be the same ?

Hi,

In most cases, I would think the data would not match exactly.  This is mostly due to the difference in cookie duration between AdWords and Analytics tracking.

Take a look at this page and see if it helps:  https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2679221?hl=en

Hello Viet Anh N,

Google Analytics and Adwords calculate conversions differently due to different tracking methods. So it does not mean necessarily mean your tracking implementation is incorrect.

Hope you have gone through the link shared by PPC Bossman above. It will give you a much clear picture.

Regards,

KC

While i have to accept that there are difference but i could not imagine why the GA stats from the referrals in our google / cpc is 20% lowered than adwords stats. One click should be the same as one click on adwords and it is simple mathematics.

Subtract the bounce rate you're seeing in your analytics account from the number you're seeing in your adwords account and you should come up with the same number.
