Adwords - Google Analytics shows clicks and cost but no sessions

I recently linked my adwords and analytics pages. However, when I look at the analytics -> adwords section it shows that none of the clicks are registered as sessions and I have a bounce rate of 0%. Obviously there is somthing wrong with the reporting somewhere. I checked and the number of clicks are the same across both my adwords and account settings. I have gone through previous threads and checked that I have editing privileges on both accounts and that tracking is auto tagging.

What else could cause this discrepancy? The only thing I can think of is my google analytics script is in my footer instead of my header but I didn't think that would make much of a difference.

When you linked the accounts in Analytics, there is a little on/off slider called All Web Site Data - did you slide it to on?

The other possibility, are your AdWords ads sending people to an http URL, which redirects to an https URL?

And one more, auto-tagging is set to yes by default in AdWords. Check Account Settings > Preferences to make sure auto-tagging is on.

Hi,

check everything @RobSkelton mentioned and also check your direct channel traffic.

Sometimes AdWords traffic is attributed to direct traffic if the gclid parameter is missing or parsed by the server
