3rd Party Tracking without Dynamic Variables

Hi,

I was reading as much as I could on this forum and other websites but seems like I am still not sure how to solve this.

I would like to use a 3rd party service to track the conversion of my Adwords ads. As I don't have the dynamic variable option, I am trying to find a way to use simple tracking links.

The problem:

Main URL: https://www.example.com

the 3rd party tracking link looks like this: https://xxx.3rdpartydomain.com/redirect.aspx?pid=9246&bid=3140 (the PID BID values are static)

this link redirects to the main URL https://example.com/btag=444122_04022202B2E5498A977AC19887A30B58

The 444122 is constant but the "_text" changes every time.

I read many official answers and they wrote that I need to update manually all the possible Final URL's but the thing is that the "_text" is changing randomly every time you are redirected from the 3rd party tracking link.

In my website admin system the static variable "444122" is connected to the user who sign up on my page and if somebody is connected to the 444122 I will know that it comes from my Adwords ad.

Would you please explain me how can I set this up in my Adwords account? (HOW?) Should I edit the Campaign URL options (advanced) or I can setup a separate tracking for each Ad, using the AD Editor directly under the "AD URL Options (advances)"?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @Norbert E,

The easiest way to start tracking information about your ads is by using ValueTrack parameters. ValueTrack parameters are a type of URL parameter you can add to your ads’ landing page URLs. These parameters collect information about the source of your ad clicks.

This article explains how ValueTrack parameters work with your tracking template. ValueTrack parameters are a good idea if you’re looking to learn more about the clicks on your ad or if you’re just starting out with tracking.

Kind Regards,

James

Hi @James_Clemens,

Thank you but I have already tried it and it not works. Or at least I was not able to set that up.

Based on the URL details I presented in the first post would you please show me how you would do that?

Thank you!
