I am running an Universal App Campaign with custom image assets. However, my image assets are not being displayed.

I would like Google to display my image ads as I believe they would convert better than banner/text ads. What is the problem?

You are using 1200x680 size and 320x480, the first size is used for desktop ads and the second one is hardly shown on mobile. UAC campaign is all about app install on mobile.

Use the image asset that Google can show on mobile.

Thank you very much for the help. Your explanation makes perfect sense so I've accepted it as the solution.

Could you please provide some additional clarification on what image size I should make my assets?

I know Adwords has the recommended image sizes but they do not make much sense to me:

Ad sizes
Square and rectangle
200 × 200Small square
240 × 400Vertical rectangle
250 × 250Square
250 × 360Triple widescreen
300 × 250Inline rectangle
336 × 280Large rectangle
580 × 400Netboard
Skyscraper
120 × 600Skyscraper
160 × 600Wide skyscraper
300 × 600Half-page ad
300 × 1050Portrait
Leaderboard
468 × 60Banner
728 × 90Leaderboard
930 × 180Top banner
970 × 90Large leaderboard
970 × 250Billboard
980 × 120Panorama
Mobile
300 × 50Mobile banner
320 × 50Mobile banner
320 × 100

I would like to display interstitials, not banners or leaders. What image sizes should I use for Google to display my ad as a full screen interstitial?

Alternatively, I would also like to display a Google carousel ad. I've seen these carousel ads where there are multiple screenshots in the ad you can scroll through.

Thank you!

You can make any size you think suitable for mobile and can fit on the mobile screen.

Read the below post to create display interstitials:

Google carousel ad comes in text ads i don't think you have this option for app install.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I'm still confused. Can you please tell me the exact dimensions of the images I need to show as many intersitials as possible?

Google suggested 300x250, 320x480, 480x320. But we now know that 320x480 doesn't work.

My previous reply of "hardly shown on mobile" 320x480 ads is for showing on the mobile web page. Interstitials ads are less shown on mobile in comparison to mobile App. Depending on the size of mobile screen and resolution, google suggests 300x250, 320x480, 480x320.

For me 480x320 usually work on the mobile app but on mobile app competition is higher. You already have 320x480, which is not performing for you. Make all the other sizes to see which size is performing well for you.
