I've just recently started using adwords and it seems that my website url is displayed in the header (didn't show this in the example when creating the ad).

This normally wouldn't be a problem but it looks odd when my competitors who are also using adwords do not have their url at the end of the header.

Is there a way to remove this?

Hi Christian,

Google does have automated extensions, and you can switch them off:

However what you are seeing is not an extension. It is very common for Google to show site URLs in the ad headline. I suspect you are still using the old format ads and Google is just trying to fill some empty space.

Try creating expanded ads (with the two headlines), and pause the old ads.

(Of course Google only alters your ads to improve CTR, so generally speaking you will benefit from it, even though it might not fit how you think your ad should look).
