There was an error with your operation: What to do after you've done everything?

Hi folks, I am running into a brick wall on adwords (I am a first time adwords user but not computer unsavvy) with this message:

>"There was an error with your operation. If you were trying to make a change, it may not have saved. Please refresh this page to try again. If the error continues, log out of your AdWords account, then log in again and return to this page. [ Dismiss ]"

Here are the things I have tried:
- Clearing cookies and cache
- disabling uBlock (i use uBlock not adblock), including whitelisting google.com
- incognito mode
- multiple browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox.

This is a such a persistent and widespread bug that I cannot imagine that I am alone in facing this, and I cannot fathom why Google is unable to fix this when lesser tech companies can. In the support community, this is the sorry state of affairs:

why has google not come up with a proper resolution for such an embarrassing problem, and why is the support only surface-deep?

Hi there;

All actions you have taken are the common solutions that should have resolved the issue.

I would suspect a malware  on your machine. Try a different machine in incognito mode.
