Hi. Have a look at this: http://screencast.com/t/VreVj8rTxjM9

Trying out the new expanded text ad and get this error... I don't know where to update/enter the url and don't know how to avoid this issue... do I have to update settings?

your screencast link is a 404.  If you're having trouble uploading an image here, I would try it again. If you get an error message when you click Post, simply click Post again and it will go through the 2nd time.

The field you have populated with "Barrie Website Design - Free Consultaion" is where your Final URL should go.

ah! my mistake... I thought we had more text in the ad so that's why I assumed the first field was for a bigger headline. So what's the benefit of the expanded ads? I don't see a difference between the 2.

Instead of one headline, you have two. Each now has more characters than the former version.

Instead of two description fields, you know have one that has more characters than the previous two combined.

You also now have two optional path fields that can help make your Display URL more relevant.

so if my final url is abc.com/design.html I can make it look more relevant by writing something like abc.com/webdesign ? Even though that url doesn't exist?

correct. But I would keep it in the "ball park." To quote the support page on the subject, "Your path text doesn’t have to match the exact text of your final URL, but it should help the user understand what to expect from your landing page."
