I don't have the "account budget" tab in my client's account.

HI guys,
when I'm in my settings (when I click on my gear), and I go under billing, I don"t have the account budgets tab for a particular client (when I have it for others). What could explain that? And how can I fix it?
Thanks,

Hi @Debby G,

In my AdWords Manager Account (old name: My Client Center/MCC), accounts that are not auto pay (not invoiced) do not have an Account Budgets tab there. When I am at the home screen/dashboard for all of my clients in the AdWords Manager account, I do have a tab called Budgets with the details present.

Hope this helps,

James

Hi there;

Not sure I understand. Are you looking for a campaign budget setting under billing?

Thanks for your time MosheTLV.

Here's my path:

Gear icon/billing then upper left corner where you have tabs. One of them is "account budgets". For some of my clients I have this tab, for others, I don't.

I am wondering why. Is it because I receive monthly invoices for the former and not for the latter?

Thanks,

Thank you @James_Clemens.  That's what I thought.

Yes, but the budget tab doesn't allowed me to set up a montlhy budget. I just have an overview of all my accounts. Back to square one since that client is under automatic payments.

So there are no ways I can set this up if my client doesn't receive monthly invoices?

Hi @Debby G

You are very welcome. We are here to help.

What I do as an advertising agency & badged Google Partner, and what everyone I know does, is to use the campaigns to set the monthly budget. Google will use a 30.4 days in a month formula to calculate what they will spend, and so can you.

Here is daily budget formula for your Monthly Budget:

Monthly Budget/30.4 = Daily Budget.

$1000/30.4                = $32.89

Please let us know if we can help further.

Kind Regards,

James

Yes, I understand. But still, with different bid strategies (I'm thinking for instance about eCPC) my daily spent is not set in stone, therefore you have to be careful and keep track and re-ajust your budget in consequences.

With the monthly spend limit at least, you're telling Google that you don't want to spend more than the amount set up, no matter your bid strategy.

Hi @Debby G,

I do agree and see your concern.

Have you considered an automated rule for the budget

All the Best,

James
